Your Pokemon's nicknames | Page 3

Well, I honestly can't say what I'm gonna name my Pokémon for X and Y, since I don't know what Pokémon will be on my team. I don't have an unlimited supply of nicknames, though, so I generally only assign nicknames to Pokémon I plan to use. I can't figure out my team until I know what Pokémon will be available to me. A bit of a dilemma for this thread, I suppose. The only thing I've decided is that I'm gonna nickname my starter Fenrir, assuming it's a Fennekin. Why? Well, I've just gotten into this weird habit since Gen V of naming my starter after Norse mythology. In Black, my Oshawott/Dewott/Samurott was named Garmr (no specific reason for this, really). In Black 2, my Tepig/Pignite/Emboar was named Gwyllgi. So, I figured I'd name my next starter after the third dog-beast of Ragnarok, the Fenris/Fenrir Wolf. Fennekin just seemed most suited to the name. So far, I'm leaning towards starting with Fennekin, but I might not if I see a different fire type I'd rather have. And then I'd have to think up a new nickname for my starter.
